I used to think this wasn’t true, you can even find some very old posts saying so, but now I believe this. Please think hard before starting any calorie counting type program, even “healthy” ones like Weight Watchers, it’s really easy to start then end up on a bad path.
I believe that if you can approach it sensibly and logically and calorie counting really works for you and is something you want to do, go right ahead. If any of these things sound like you, however, it may be a good idea to give it a rest. If you’re making good food choices based on the nutritional value of your meals and snacks rather than the number of calories they contain, you’ll be absolutely fine, weight-wise.
